Yuzhen works with individuals and families across diverse ages and socio-cultural backgrounds, navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and academic, work, and interpersonal challenges. She has a special interest in relationship difficulties – including communication, attachment, and sexual satisfaction—and works collaboratively to foster healthier, more fulfilling dynamics. Her thoughtful, culturally responsive, and pragmatic approach provides support for the stressors of balancing multiple identities and expectations. She has a special focus on working with female-identified LGBTQ+, BIPOC, immigrant, and international student communities.
Yuzhen brings a warm, engaged, non-judgmental orientation to the therapeutic space where clients can speak openly and feel understood. Her integrative approach tailors care to each client’s needs and goals. She draws from psychodynamic, relational, and existential frameworks incorporating CBT and ACT approaches. She guides clients to examine patterns in how they relate to themselves and others, clarifying values and strengths, and cultivating growth, meaning, and connection.
