I believe the family can be the greatest source of support, pain, and resilience. My hope is to work with you to rebuild connection and restore your sense of self so you can move from pain to resilience and support. We are impacted by the systems we are a part of, and a big part of therapeutic work is understanding how we operate in the context of our relationships. I use a culturally sensitive and curious approach to create a collaborative space where you can work towards sustainable change. Often, we pursue therapy in hopes of working on our “weaknesses” or “issues”, but my hope is that you feel empowered to practice self compassion and see yourself through a strengths-based lens. The problem does not define you. Rather, it is a symptom of the system you are a part of. I use an integrative approach, drawing on experiential and emotion focused therapy.
I work with parent-child relationships, families and couples navigating intercultural differences, intergenerational trauma, school issues, and obsessive compulsive disorder. As a Taiwanese-American who spent my childhood years in the Middle East, I understand the ongoing journey of identity exploration and the difficulties of navigating multicultural differences in relationships. My hope is to co-construct new experiences together to meet your specific goals.
I am currently accepting new clients.
