Alice Kim, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I help clients wrestle with their past, present and future to make sense of their relationship to themself, others, and God. I create a safe place of honesty and vulnerability so that emotions such as anger, bitterness, fear, sadness, loneliness, guilt and shame can be felt and processed. We are often tempted to dismiss or distract ourselves from feeling them, but making room and being curious about the stories behind our emotions is the work needed toward being restored to freedom and growing emotionally and spiritually whole.
I have over 25 years of clinical experience. I facilitate emotional, mental, and spiritual growth and healing through the intersection of faith and therapeutic practices like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), and the trauma informed approach taught by The Allender Center (Dan Allender).
I am licensed in IL, VA, and MD. I offer virtual and in-person appointments (in Wheaton, IL) to individual adults and couples (dating, premarital, married) desiring to get unstuck from negative cycles and gain greater clarity and understanding of why they do what they do toward positive change.
