Shinhae OH, ALMFT
Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I hold a master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Adler University (2024) and an MDiv in Theology. My journey of personal healing and growth led me to become a therapist, and it deeply shapes the empathy and care I bring to my work. I understand how painful it can feel to be invisible,
overwhelmed, or disconnected, and I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, valued, and supported.
I view therapy as a courageous and meaningful step. Using Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I work collaboratively with clients to strengthen self-worth, rebuild confidence, and foster authentic connection. While therapy is grounded in compassion and curiosity, it also invites thoughtful challenge to long-held patterns and beliefs.
I practice in downtown Chicago and work with individuals and couples navigating high-conflict relationships, depression, anxiety, ADHD, addiction, and identity-related concerns. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions and consider it an honor to walk alongside clients during pivotal moments of change and growth.
