Paul Kang, LPC
Licensed Professional CounselorHello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University, completed in 2023. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned in 2019.
Life is filled with challenges and anxieties that can impact us in various ways. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness. I aim to create a compassionate, empathetic, and safe space where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. Through our counseling partnership, my goal is to help you gain a deeper understanding of who you are and work with you toward your personal goals.
I believe that vulnerability and compassion are vital to building healthy, fulfilling relationships, which are fundamental to our overall mental and emotional well-being. As a Korean American male, I recognize the social barriers that often discourage mental health support, especially within marginalized communities. I strive to foster an inclusive environment that respects all genders, sexual orientations, racial and ethnic backgrounds, abilities, and cultural identities. I value authenticity and connection, making them central to my counseling approach.
