Jessica Chung is a licensed professional counselor and a provisional art therapist. She attended Carnegie Mellon where she received a bachelor’s in psychology. She attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she received a master’s in art therapy and counseling. Ms. Chung has also received a master’s in architecture which guides her interest in how an environment and living space impact us. Her working model is positioned from a trauma informed, holistic and strength-based approach to understanding how we are able to cope with life and grow to be resilient. She primarily bases her clinical interventions in art therapy principles to understand clients’ inner world and foster self-expression and trauma processing. Ms. Chung has worked with young children and adolescents, and adults with traumas, and also closely with caregivers to dismantle intergenerational trauma and create safe space for children and families to develop and thrive in harmony within the family system.
