- Jane Chang, B.S
Clinical Intern
M.A. Candidate in Clinical Counseling
I am currently in my last year as a graduate student at Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) pursuing my Master of Art (M.A.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently completing my training with Concentric Counseling & Consulting Chicago.
Navigating life’s challenges can be daunting, and we are not meant to do it alone. My practice is a judgment-free zone that meets you where you are and embraces your unique experiences. My work is grounded in a multicultural approach emphasizing the importance of understanding the intersectionality of who we are and how that shapes our experiences, beliefs, and values. In our sessions, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, ensuring that our therapeutic relationship is built on mutual trust, empathy, respect, and authenticity.
I believe we all deserve a space to discover who we are in a safe and empathetic environment. Whether you’re striving to achieve a goal or seeking to understand yourself better, I am here to support and empower you every step of the way. Together we can freely explore deep wounds, challenge unhelpful patterns, and work towards a more fulfilling future.Growing up, I often found myself navigating a significant language barrier with my parents. This experience taught me to tune into not only their words but also the context and content behind what was being said. I bring this skill into my session, where I focus on truly understanding your experiences and emotions, even when they aren’t explicitly articulated. My goal is to create a space where you feel fully seen and heard, not just through what you say, but also through the feelings and intentions behind your words.
