Brianna Rosano Tade, AM, LSW
Artium Mastrium or Master's in Social WorkLicensed Social WorkerFinding a therapist who fits your needs can be a daunting process. Core values that are central to my therapeutic approach are radical authenticity and uplifting the autonomy of my clients. I believe that healing cannot happen if we are only looking at the "symptoms" or trying to solely treat a "problem". Healing requires utilizing the strengths that my clients already possess, and I strive to be a personal advocate who can help identify and utilize those strengths for healing.
With 5 years of experience in social work, I have worked in various capacities such as a program support coordinator in non profit spaces addressing equity and houselessness, a transitional mental health support at a public high school, and as a therapist. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of Portland and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Some of the modalities I pull from the most are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rogerian/Client-centered Therapy, and Somatic-based Therapy.
Studies have shown that Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are the least likely to seek mental health resources compared to other racial-ethnic groups, and I am committed to aiding in changing this narrative. As a second-generation, Filipina-American therapist, I understand the multicultural nuances that affect many of my BIPOC clients, especially my Asian clients, and their lived experiences. I specialize in working with clients wanting to address intergenerational conflicts and traumas, diaspora, family dynamics, socioeconomic disparities, and the impact of systems on our psyche. As much as there are parts of our cultures that may be harmful, there is space for our cultures and backgrounds to be a part of the healing process as well. Whether you are needing a space to process or gentle yet effective accountability, I am excited to walk alongside you in your journey of growth.
